We are proud to be reviewed and held accountable by independent third-party organizations such as ECFA (Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability) and a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator. We are held to the highest standards of stewardship, transparency and ethical financial practices. We are also governed by a Board of Directors, and every year we are audited by an independent accounting firm.

Shepherd’s Gate is a 501(c)(3) public charity. We receive no government or state funding, which means we rely completely on the faithful partnership of individuals, corporations, foundations, churches, and civic organizations to reach out to women and children in desperate need.

In our Fiscal Year 2023-2024, 82% of every dollar we received goes directly to help rescue women and children from homelessness, sex trafficking, addiction and abuse.  Only 9% goes to administrative costs, while 9% was utilized for fundraising and awareness.

Also in Fiscal Year 2023-2024, it is important to share that 81% of our revenue was generously given by faithful individual donors, while 7% came from organizations, 6% came from grants and foundations, 2% came from church partners, 2% came from workplace giving programs, and 2% from other entities.
