The Slave 2 Nothing Foundation

This past year, Shepherd’s Gate was honored to be highlighted by The Slave 2 Nothing Foundation in its awareness campaign regarding the opioid crisis.  The Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, was founded by In-N-Out Burger president Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson and her husband – Sean Ellingson. The Foundation aims to help improve the lives of individuals and families facing substance abuse and/or human trafficking. Through a year-long interview process, the foundation awarded Shepherd’s Gate with a grant to fund a portion of our Alumni program to help women continue with their sobriety.

"Thanks to so many of you, we are helping save lives, but our work has just begun. Let's help heal the broken and give hope to them and their families."

Additionally, Brittany McCarthy, Shepherd’s Gate, Case Manager Supervisor, and Carol Patterson, CEO of Shepherd’s Gate joined The Slave 2 Nothing’s “Not Another” awareness campaign to take a stand against the opioid drug epidemic happening in the United States. Far too many of us have lost friends, loved ones, acquaintances, and neighbors to opioid overdose. This can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any age. Together there is Hope. We pray for those struggling daily with substance abuse because it can quickly lead them to lose their lives forever.

Here is a short video that the Slave 2 Nothing team put together about Shepherd’s Gate. It was shown at their large events to help bring awareness that there is hope in saving the lives of women and children at a place called Shepherd’s Gate. The video shares the lives of three women who God transformed their lives out of addiction.

"We are so grateful to be a part of this important work to help stop the opioid epidemic from taking one more precious life," said

We can’t do this without your help. Join us this year, in donating to keep our programs going strong to help more women and children in crisis situations.
