The community is always so generously donating to our thrift store to support battered and homeless women and children and we are very grateful. Some of the donations that we receive are brand new, high-end designer items, some even have the tags still on them! In the past, we used to take these items to a consignment store in the area to sell. Striving to be good stewards of all the donations we receive, we thought that we could sell them for more of a profit at a consignment store, which means more income going towards providing services and housing to women and children in crisis. That has worked, but our store manager Patti wanted to try offering the name-brand items to our customers and see if they would enjoy purchasing them. So Patti and her staff created our new “Boutique” area of the thrift store. So if your yearning for a Coach bag but don’t want to spend a fortune or a pair of Jimmy Choo’s Crown Glittered Pumps, go in and check it out, you’ll be surprised at what you will find.
