We all have dreams. Some of us dream of going on a tropical vacation, buying our dream house or retiring with enough savings to take care of our family well into the future. All of these dreams have their place — none of them are bad, yet often we overlook some of the simplest, most meaningful dreams. Dreams like Holly’s*. Life’s circumstances, combined with some compromised choices, led Holly to a place where she and her children haven’t been able to live together. Now, having gotten the help she needed from Shepherd’s Gate, Holly is ready to walk out into the world and stand on her own two feet. During her time at Shepherd’s Gate, God gave Holly a beautiful dream: the dream of waking up in a big soft bed with her children piled around her and watching Saturday morning cartoons together. Because of friends like you, this dream may soon become a reality. Holly is ready to face the challenges of life — whatever they may be — because she knows that God loves her and wants what is best for her and her children. Many of the women at Shepherds Gate have simple dreams: the dream of living without fear, of never being hit again, of having a place to call home. Because we serve such a great and loving God, these dreams are all within reach.
