Did you know that tonight nearly 640,000 people will be homeless? Nearly 37% of them are people in families and up to 59% of homeless people live in their cars! Those numbers are surprising and staggering. Something has to be done to help these families get the help they need to rebuild their lives! That’s why we’ll be hosting the 24 In Your Car event-experience again this year. This 24-hour-live-in-your-car-a-thon is designed to bring awareness to the issues of homelessness, and funding to support the programs helping homeless women and children at Shepherd’s Gate—where the cycles of abuse, addiction, and poverty that lead to homelessness, are broken.
