You Make this Ministry Possible
Each $32.82 you give will help provide a night of safe shelter for a woman and child
who’s experienced domestic violence.
“Let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” 1 John 3:18
Each $32.82 you give will help provide a night of safe shelter for a woman and child

When you become a GateKeeper, your monthly gift helps provide life-changing care for women and children year round.
“I’m proud to be a Gatekeeper. The work Shepherd’s Gate is doing in the lives of women in need is nothing short of inspiring and I’m honored to play a role in the story.” – Olivia R. | Gatekeeper since 2008
Did you know that your gift could be doubled for an even greater impact? Many companies have matching gift programs for financial donations or volunteer hours. Search your company below for more information. Here is Shepherd’s Gate 501 c3 nonprofit number for our company paperwork: 94-2902803. We are so grateful for your support!
Will you help keep the gates open all year long? Become a Gatekeeper!
Gatekeepers are Shepherd’s Gate’s group of monthly partners devoted to making sure that when homeless women and children knock on our door, we are able to provide food, safe shelter and life-changing care so that they can escape their past and build a better future.
Because we receive no funding from the state or federal government, this group of partners is crucial in keeping the Gates of our ministry open all year long.
1. Homelessness Doesn’t Know Seasons, Ministry Does
The truth is, there are times when giving to Shepherd’s Gate drops so dramatically that we struggle to get every woman and child what they need. When you become a GateKeeper, your consistent monthly support will help meet the needs of women and children currently in our care all year long.
2. Convenience
When you become a GateKeeper and sign up for automatic giving, you’ll know you are making a difference—every day, every month, all year long.
3. More Opportunities
Giving regularly provides more opportunities to reach people in places you may never go. Plus, as a key partner, you’ll get the inside scoop on things going on at Shepherd’s Gate.
Unfortunately, Amazon discontinued this program on Feb. 20th, 2023.
Shepherd’s Gate is now a participant in the Amazon Smile program! This is a great opportunity to support the women and children at Shepherd’s Gate while you make your usual Amazon purchases. All you need to do is go to smile.amazon.com and select Shepherd’s Gate as your charitable organization of choice. Then begin shopping as you normally would. This wonderful program will allow you to change the lives of our resident families, without any added financial pressure. Also, be sure to set this page as a bookmark so that all of your future Amazon purchases can help to rescue desperate women and children. Thank you for your support and for helping us to share this great news.
Want to honor a loved one or celebrate a life well lived? Give a gift in honor or memory of someone you love — and change the lives of women and children in desperate need.
When you give an Honor or Memorial Gift, we’ll send a card letting friends or family know of your gift to bless struggling women and children on their behalf — and we’ll thank them for inspiring you to give.

A gift in your will or living trust continues your investment in the lives of women and children in our program today and for a lifetime. It often allows you to make an even bigger impact than you ever thought possible. Whether you give a set amount or a percentage of your estate, your expression of God’s love for those in critical need gives hope for a brighter future. Here is a sample of the simple text that can be used in your estate planning documents:
“I hereby give Shepherd’s Gate, a California nonprofit organization with its principal offices at 1660 Portola Avenue, Livermore, CA 94551, (the sum of $___) or (___ % of the residue of my estate) to be used for its general purposes to help women and children in crisis. (Tax ID: 94-2902803)”
Other Ways to Share Your Legacy:
If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Shepherd’s Gate and receive tax benefits in return. You can give any amount up to $105,000 for 2024 from your IRA directly to Shepherd’s Gate without having to pay income taxes on the money. This popular gift option is known as a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) and is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover.
For most of these options, you’ll just need our address and TAX ID (501 3c): 1660 Portola Avenue, Livermore, CA 94551 and our TAX ID is 94-2902803.

To make a difference we must first pave the way, one brick at a time. Support the women & children of Shepherd’s Gate and be a part of the legacy to transform lives with our Commemorative Brick Program.
Your gift towards a 4 x 8 brick is the perfect way to memorialize a loved one, honor relatives, business, friends, and organizations, or even celebrate a milestone birthday, anniversary or graduation. We will have it engraved with up to 3 lines, 21 characters per line with your personalized inscription.
Your commemorative brick will be placed in the Honor Garden at the Livermore Campus and join others on a peaceful path that encircles a fountain. Surrounded by flowers and trees, the garden is a source of comfort and inspiration for our women and children here, as well as our visitors.
Bricks will be placed no later than two (2) months after your order has been received. A letter of acknowledgment, keepsake certificate & locator map will be mailed to you after your brick is placed. As an option, you can host a small ceremony at our Honor Garden with family & friends to celebrate your occasion or loved one.
Your gift of $500.00 for the Commemorative Brick Program will provide for the daily needs of our women and children. If you are interested in ordering a brick, please click below or if you have any questions, please contact Marcie Senter at (925) 443-4283 ext. 109 or email at msenter@shepherdsgate.org.
