What a beautiful day the Lord has made! I don’t know about you, but Thanksgiving has always been such a special holiday to me. In the midst of so much busyness, it’s so good to pause for a moment. Instead of wanting for more, we take time to appreciate all that God has already blessed us with.
We take time to tell family or friends how much they mean to us. We look around at our home, at a table filled with amazing food, and we say, “Thank you, God.”
Maybe this year has been a challenging one for you. Maybe there has been financial struggle, or illness, or loss. I encourage you, even in the midst of struggle, to thank the Lord for his goodness all the same.
Why? Because, as children of God, we know that our struggles are not the end of the story. Even in challenging times, God is working for our good!
“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose . . .” — Romans 8:28 (NLT)
This Thanksgiving, the best blessing I could ask God for is a thankful heart. A heart that sees how good God has been to me. I pray the same for you today. Happy Thanksgiving!
