People often ask me how they can pray for women and children who are residents at Shepherd’s Gate. Here are just a few things that come to mind:
- Pray for families who have just arrived to find rest, comfort, and strength here. Sometimes the first few weeks are tremendously challenging.
- Pray for women who are healing from homelessness, domestic violence, or drug abuse. These dysfunctional cycles leave deep wounds and they take time and compassion to heal.
- Pray for children who have been suffering the effects of poverty, hunger, and instability. Pray that they will understand that they are safe now. Pray that they would make friends at school and be able to focus on learning.
- Pray for our residents to open their hearts to Christ during our worship and Bible study times.
Thank you for caring so deeply about our precious families, and for remembering them in your prayers!
