Summer is a beautiful time of year, but for at-risk children in our community, it’s one of the scariest.
You see, during the school year struggling kids get a safe place to go each day, away from the abuse and addiction they face at home. They also get a hot meal each day. But during the summer months, those protections are gone. They are largely on their own, with few people to care about their welfare.
We want to reach out to these vulnerable children and their mothers — we want to offer them a way out of domestic violence and addiction. We want to provide a rescue when they need it most.
But even as needs arise during the summer, giving often drops off significantly as people enjoy their summer vacations. Because we depend 100% on donations, that drop in giving hits our programs really hard. The timing is tough because now is a great time to reach out to these families in crisis!
We have been blessed with a $25,000 matching gift this year . . . each person who makes a 3-month pledge through our Summer of Hope campaign will automatically have their gift DOUBLED to help TWICE as many hurting women and children!
Please send a gift to help today. Your gift will go further than ever to make sure that children in need get the help they need when they need it. Let’s let women and children know they aren’t forgotten, not even during the summer. Thank you!
